CheckUp & Flowers..?

sup everyone.. i had my checkup for my collarbone todae.. mama brought me down ta tan tock seng.. super long-winded.. wait here wait there.. seriouslei all hospitals are da same =X.. and da department i went to was mostli elderly ppl.. geriatric clinic..? cuz of their bones and etc.. hmmmz.. one of da few youngsters dere.. saw a guy with a bandaged middle finger.. guess he broke it.. so anywaez.. i got a copy of my xrays.. hi-tech siaz nowadaez.. dey gave us 2 options.. to duplicate the xray films or have it burned onto a CD siaz.. lol~ so my mama chose da CD one.. notz cheap ehz.. $33.90 siaz.. if wan xray film, itz 1 for $20+ siaz.. madness..











so here's da xray on da day of da accident.. i dint get to c it till now.. quite shockin & a lil unbelievable.. i totz a broken/fractured bone would be far more painful or sumthin.. hmmmz..

















2 weeks lata.. this wuz da xray taken todae.. iz there a diff..? da bones moved a lil i guess.. i dunno if itz a good sign or not.. cuz da xrays werent take at the exact same angle.. doc saez itz too earli ta tell if it'll heal well.. he saez more than 50% chance it will heal nicely.. doesnt sound so good >_>.. mama asked da doc if dey had some kinda strap device to hold my shoulder in place.. but he said it is super uncomfy and datz dey no longer use it for such cases.. doc denz went on ta xplain datz in order for the bone to heal soft tissue will form around the broken area and slowli bring da 2 bones togetha.. it wun b a perfect join but i dunno how it'll look like in the near future.. =/.. it'll take 3months ta completeli heal.. means erm.. by may it shld be more or less healed.. i could alwaez opt for surgery where dey'll slice my shoulder open and stick some screws and metal plates in.. =X.. ok notz so gruesome but datz basicalli wad wld've happened durin surgery.. in order to align the bones dey put a metal plate in and a screw somewhere.. ARGH.. itz painful juz listenin ta it.. imagine putting a screw into a bone O_O.. according ta him, he said datz surgery is onli to align the bones.. but it doesnt speed up da healin process at all.. but for every sugery, there are risks rite..? okz for diz one, he made it sound as if itz betta off widoutz attemptin surgery.. firstly, operating on the area wld result in quite alot of soft tissue bein removed.. this might cause da process of healing to slow down or even not heal properly.. secondly, insertin a screw at the half of the collarbone nearer to the chest might risk puncturing the lung which is very close by, juz at the ribcage yeahz.. denz he said "oh, that doesnt happen but itz still a risk.." -.- scary.. thirdly, he said i might affect da nerves of da arm and so on.. lastly, he said datz it'll leave a scar and goes on bout girls wearin clothes datz'll reveal da collarbone area & bout how da scar might not heal nicely and end up forming bumps etc..

however, doc also said that there might be chances datz dere's a muscle "caught" in btw both bones thus keeping the bones from actualli healing completely.. denz dey gotta resort ta surgery.. he kept emphasising datz im still QUITE young.. -.-.. how convincin.. ah wellz.. anutha doc came in and said to increase da chance of healing well, i shld sit straight, shoulder back chest out n all.. datz abit of a ridiculouslei uncomfy position ta sit in for 24hrs.. =X.. & not forgettin ta drink milk.. EeEeWw.. i dun like ta drink milk as it is.. ah wellz.. gotta pop 'em calcium tablets denz.. realli hope all goes well.. definiteli not lookin forward to any operation wadsoeva.. im not worried bout the scar it'll leave.. im worried bout da procedure T_____T.. save meeeeeee..

lookie..!! i got meself a new sling~ =D.. stylo eh..? $10 siaz.. =X.. itz adjustable & more airy.. nowz da fat thing can play wid my sling liaoz~ =X.. but not veri comfy lehz.. stupid velcro strap thingamajig.. like pressin into my neck muscles.. & i cant put much stuff in it (like my wallet etc.. for convenient purposes).. itz so much more difficult ta remove & put on.. so inconvenient when i wanna swing my arm around argh~



















okz.. ta sum it all up.. the consultation was pretty ex.. it cost $55.23, xray is $39.42 and da sling is $10.. it came up ta $104.65.. but the govt wuz so nice n all ta subsidise it to $47.71.. datz great.. =D.. lalala~ afta purchasin da xray CD we left for home...........supposedli.. we went ta da car and i saw da broken cover of a car's back lights (which i had kept in mind to pick up & keep =X) on da floor right next ta da passenger door.. & i sneaked 'em onto da car.. lol~ kinda meaningless.. but i alwaez do stuff like datz.. no idea whyz.. & nowz their sittin next ta my bed..


















mama dragged me ta da florist afta datz.. so much for goin home.. -.-.. da place iz called FarEastFlora.. how nice.. =X.. so anywaez.. walked around ta admire da flora & fauna.. apparently she wuz searchin for sumthin ta place in da............toilet >_>.. but she wuz still kinda picky & all bout flowering plants dyin easily etc etc.. lol~.. finalli she settled on an odd lookin bonsai plant thingy.. their pots sure look like bowls ta me.. so here were some of da "odd" lookin plants i came across..















these bougainvilleas arent the usual pink ones.. their kinda reddish.. quite a unique colour i've seen so far..















and denz dere's da oleng ones..! i like!! LOL~ neva realli noticed datz dere were such a colour in dese species.. cool~~ sooooo purdy~


















okz.. & dese are..? no prizes for guessin tho.. they're cacti.. i mean like.. doesnt datz look like erm.. some sea creature or coral..? =X.. well i havent seen plenty of cacti till now.. =O many odd lookin ones.. unfortunateli.. my fone wuz runnin low on batt..















dese are orchid.. i find 'em kinda special lookin.. tho they're prob juz anutha species of our country's national flower.. so anywaez.. they look like a mix btw a lily and a daffodil or sumthin.. o_o nice colours tho.. =D~

okz.. now THIS orchid looks weirder (it's an orchid rite..?).. now it looks like a cross btw a pitcher plant (those that "lures" insects, drowns 'em & slowli digests 'em >=D) with seaweed for side petals.. lol~ =X

mama denz dragged me into anutha "flower farm" where dey had a huge refrigerated area where many flowers & plants were kept.. i found dese kinda peculiar ta b sold here.. i dunno if dey're suppose ta be dandelions or wad.. but they sure had some white furry problem goin on there.. =X.. first thought was COTTON!! LOL~ but i dun fink so eh..?

The recording required 606 takes and in the first 605 takes there always was something, usually of minor importance, that didn't work.

It was necessary for the recording team to install the set-up time after time and it took several weeks working day and night to achieve this effect.

The recording cost 6 million dollars and it took 3 months to finish, including the engineering design of the sequence.
The duration of the video is only 2 minutes, but every time that Honda shows the commercial on British television, they make enough money to support any of us for the rest of our lives.

However, this commercial has turned out to be the most displayed in the history of the Internet.

Honda execs think that it will pay for itself simply because of the free showings. (Honda is not paying one cent for you to see it)

When Honda senior execs viewed it, they immediately approved it without hesitation-including costs.

There are only six Honda Accords built by hand in the whole world, and to the horror of Honda engineers, the recording team disassembled two of them for the recording.

Everything you see in the sequence (besides the walls, floor, ramp and untouched Honda Accord) is part of those two automobiles.

The voice is that of Garrison Keiller.

The commercial was so well received by Honda execs when they saw it, that their first comment was how amazing the computer graphics were.

They almost fell out of their chairs when told that the recording was real without any graphics manipulation.

By the way, about the wind shield wipers in the new Honda Accords, they are sensitive to water and designed to start working as soon as they get wet.

Accident Aftermath

lalala.. so im here writin diz entry for da blog.. =X.. itz been bout a week alreadi.. few pics of me n darlinz.. he's been comin over ta my place ta look afta me.. buy me nom nom.. =P.. feed me till fat fat~ =D

so there i am with my arm in a sling.. lol.. n darlinz foolin around tryin ta poke at my shoulder.. =X.. denz his battle-scarred legs courtesy of the car's shattered windows.. =/.. and lastly me using my laptop as per normal =X.. well of course my shoulder still hurts.. juz realised how heavy my arm is.. hmmmz.. oh yeahz.. doesnt my new hse look like some chalet..? still not totallei accustomed to da area.. =X

First Car Crash in My Life

On Sunday,10th of Feb 2008 approximately 12.10am. We experienced a car crash together while riding as passengers in Daren's car and Ting Yew.

What exactly happened is that we were on our way to pick up our last member of the supper group that night who was ZH, then the tragedy happened. Daren was driving normally and about to cross a junction when out of no where a blue toyota crown taxi appeared directly in our lane. Daren was unable to avoid the collision and the impact was so hard it flipped our Honda Airwave(MPV like vehicle) over and we banged into the side kerb and a traffic light before skidding to a halt. The windows were all shattered and glass was everywhere.

Incredibly, non of us suffered any serious injury except for my poor DooDoo Monster(Deborah) who walked away with a broken collarbone. Ok maybe she got wheeled away by the paramedics and not walked away..
